Building Blocks has done extensive research and development to bring the NEW "Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) Orientation Boot-Camp. This course is a fast-paced introduction for new and aspiring ISSO. The focus is on the individual and ensuring that the individual is informed, effective and prepared to take on his or her new role.
Based on the Committee on National Security Systems' (CNSS) National Information Assurance Training Standard For Information Systems Security Officers, the orientation is interactive with a number of group and individual exercises each day that are based on "real life" situations. Participants are introduced to site and system security concepts and are taken through a series of subjects that build the participants' awareness and knowledge of the requirements of their position throughout the duration of the course.
