The workplace can be a challenging environment; advanced skills in communication can help you to navigate it safely.
Skills in assertive communication and conflict resolution will enable you to express your ideas and feelings with confidence, to respond to disagreement by exploring areas for resolving differences collaboratively, to "call" inappropriate behavior without being aggressive, and to develop effective strategies for dealing with difficult people.
This is a practical "hands-on" workshop, designed to encourage you to develop your skills in a fun, risk-free environment.

For anyone at any level of the organization, who wishes to develop their skills in assertiveness and resolving conflict.
You will learn how:
- To identify the differences between assertive, passive and aggressive styles of communication
- To recognize the effects of each style on others
- To identify ways of increasing your own assertiveness
- To overcome self-defeating mind sets
- To use positive, collaborative language
- To develop assertive statements, and statements to set limits
- To practice using a proven technique for handling difficult behaviour
- To identify the critical issue(s) in any conflict situation
- To develop a collaborative, problem-solving style
- To negotiate, rather than to demand, change
- To practice using a proven technique for giving negative feedback in a positive way
At the end of this seminar, you will be able to:
